One of our favorites of the great apes is the Orangutan! Once we had decided to visit Indonesia it was not possible to come without seeing the Orangutans. We searched the internet and even local Indonesian groups for suggestions and recommendations. We came upon Siti purely by chance and as luck would have it we were very pleased with the tour she offered. We decided on the private boat 3 day tour to visit the Orangutans. This included a private cabin with air conditioning, private bathroom, 3 meals per day, all park entrance fees and a local English speaking guide! We were so excited!

Siti is an amazing woman who has started her own tour company business! Read about her on her web page! She has excellent communication skills and extraordinary management skills (as evidenced when we had an airline cancellation and needed to reschedule our tour for the next day). She re-arranged our hotel, driver, meet-up at the airport and rescheduled our tour all within a couple of hours of us finding out our original flight was cancelled. Now…THAT.. is Customer Service. I cannot say enough good about the personable and professional manner in which she and her staff handled a difficult situation. After all the re-arrangements were made we still has a private boat with the absolute best crew ever! Our captain, Yepi, our assistant Andie, our cook Suri and last but definitely not least, our guide, Abul!
The Orangutan tour itself was incredibly awesome with our guide Abul (who was a park Ranger for many years and hand raised some of the Orangutans we met), but that is another post! When you contact Siti for your tour ask for Abul…you will not be disappointed.
Siti also has Spanish speaking guides and if you request a specific language you may just get it… Siti is the Queen of customer service!
This tour company is so highly recommended I will give it an 11+
