After a long day of driving (and museums and sites) we were glad to check in to our sea view room at Glyfa Beach Hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The small balcony gave us a bit of a sea view. It is a lovely, well appointed, and updated hotel with large rooms and good size baths. Nice linens and a very good breakfast were a bonus!

We only stayed one night but wished we had more time to spend here as the beach was beautiful sand and the water was warm. Municipal umbrellas and foot washing station were very convenient.
Our balcony also afforded us with the sweet aromas coming from the seaside Taverna at Glyfa Beach just minutes across the street from the hotel. We checked it out and had to go back for dinner.
Of course, being a stones throw from the water (actually right on top) we had to go with the seafood! No surprise there, and I landed my all time favorite (Poseidon would be happy) of fresh calamari with a tasty Greek salad (Athena’s olives were delicious), and a lovely little Greek wine(Dionysus also approved)! Tasty and filling as always.
